중앙선거관리위원회 사전투표·재외선거 시스템은 IT 기술과 본인인증 기술을 융합하여 국민의 투표 편의성 개선 및 투표 참여 확대에 기여하고 있으며, IT 기술을 통한 본인확인 및 투표용지 발급으로, 안정적인 선거 환경과 신속 정확한 투표 관리 운영을 통해 선진화된 투표 시스템입니다.

2014년 6월부터 지방선거 사전투표를 시작으로 유권자가 별도의 신고를 하지 않아도 전국 어디서나 통합 선거인명부 조회를 통하여 투표 참여가 가능하도록 구현되었습니다.

별도의 신고를 하지 않아도, 사전투표 동안 어느 지역에서나 사전투표 시스템을 이용할 수 있게 함으로써, 국민의 투표 편의 개선 및 참여율을 높이기 위해 2014년에 도입된 시스템입니다.

본인확인기를 이용하여 여러 종류의 신분증을 신속 정확하게 인식하여 본인확인을 한 뒤, 무인(지문)입력 하거나 서명하면 투표용지와 회송용 지정 봉투를 발급하여 유권자가 투표에 참여할 수 있습니다.

The National Election Commission’s Early Voting and Overseas Voting Solution integrates advanced IT and identity verification technologies to enhance voter convenience and increase participation. By enabling secure identity verification and automated ballot issuance, the system ensures a stable election environment and supports accurate and efficient voting management. Launched in June 2014 with local elections, the system has enabled eligible voters to participate in elections from anywhere nationwide without prior registration. This is made possible through the integration of a centralized voter list, ensuring greater accessibility and convenience for all voters.

Introduced in 2014 to enhance voter convenience and increase participation, the system enables voters to use the Early Voting and Overseas Voting Solution at any polling station nationwide during the early voting period without prior registration. Using the Identity Verification Solution, various types of identification documents are quickly and accurately recognized to verify voter identity. After verification, voters can complete the process by scanning a fingerprint or providing a signature at a self-service terminal. Ballots and designated return envelopes are then issued, allowing voters to cast their vote seamlessly.
